About the Job 

We are looking for you.  A fundraising professional who can help us with our fundraising  goals.

The Assistant Director of Development will be responsible for helping to create and implement the strategic development plan for the California Science Center Foundation’s annual fundraising programs, including: Membership and Partners in Learning annual giving program; and assists in managing the development effort for the Discovery Ball annual gala.

The Assistant Director of Development must have the ability to determine how best to achieve giving objectives, with focused attention on the growth of the Partners in Learning annual giving program, including recruiting new donors and growing the level of support of current Members and Partners.

 Do you have the following qualification?  If yes, then we would like to hear from you.

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
  • 5 + years of fundraising experience.
  • Experience supervising staff in a development office preferred.
  • Experience staffing volunteer committees or working with boards preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to produce relevant writing samples upon request.
