Executive Director


            FUNDRAISING (60%)

  • Develop and implement fundraising goals and strategies, including the identification, cultivation and solicitation of funds for CCEF
  • Acknowledge and steward individual, corporate, and foundation prospects and donors
  • Provide leadership and support to the Board of Directors in raising funds for the organization
  • Develop a collaborative relationship with CCUSD school board, Superintendent, staff and administrators, prioritizing their fundraising needs and engaging in creative fund development strategies
  • Oversee and coordinate special fund-raising events
  • Oversee and coordinate Annual Campaign
  • Oversee and coordinate foundation grant submittals and reporting requirements
  • Supervise the maintenance of donor database and accurate records of all fundraising activities
  • Develop and maintain in-kind and other support relationships


  • Provide leadership and support to the Board of Directors to develop, monitor and communicate CCEF’s goals
  • Oversee management of the Foundation's assets and disbursements, including developing and monitoring budgets, payroll processing, banking and investment relationships, support for audit and tax return preparation
  • Support the recruitment, training and retention of Foundation board members
  • Supervise, direct and evaluate the performance of the Foundation's staff and paid consultants
  • Attend board meetings and prepare reports as directed by the President and Executive Committee
  • Oversee volunteers
  • Ensure adherence to CCUSD policies, practices and procedures as applicable, maintaining sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds in a public school district setting




  • Serve as primary advocate and spokesperson to the community and external constituencies, including city government leadership, community groups and the media
  • Oversee CCEF communications strategies, including continued development of promotional materials and reports for Foundation activities, solicitations and mailings
  • Oversee CCEF’s online and social media communications
  • Manage and oversee CCEF website
  • Work collaboratively with other nonprofit and government agencies that serve the educational community



  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Non-profit Management or Sales/Marketing
  • Minimum of 5 years nonprofit leadership and/or fundraising experience 
  • Proven record of cultivating and stewarding donor relationships and obtaining major gifts from individual, corporate and foundation sources
  • Experience with diverse programs and services of a public school district desirable
  • Experience in establishing an operational budget and monitoring expenses
  • Experience in management of support staff
  • Experience with website oversight and graphic design is helpful

This position reports to and is supervised by the Culver City Education Foundation Board of Directors. The position currently supervises one part time administrative staff person.




Work Schedule:

Full time 40 hours per week.

Availability for evening and weekend events essential.

Two weeks paid vacation plus school holidays.

Five days paid sick/personal leave.




Compensation package will depend on experience and is competitive with comparable community-based nonprofits in the region.


Environmental Conditions:

Office environment; exposure to computer screens, noise and electrical energy; extensive contact with faculty, staff and students, as well as donors and potential donors.


Physical Conditions:

Essential functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to travel between different sites and other district locations.
