Fiscal Manager

Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Fiscal Manager is responsible for managing and performing various accounting activities including developing, implementing, and maintaining the accounting systems, contract and government compliances, and policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include compiling, analyzing and reporting accounting data for management reports and decision-making purposes, taking initiative to identify and analyze workflow inefficiencies to continually improve fiscal operations and meet agency goals, acting as primary liaison with outside auditors and government agencies on contract issues, managing monthly closings, managing fiscal and operational responsibilities of low-income housing portfolio, and supervising accounting staff. Ability to problem solve and thrive in a diverse environment is essential.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

  • A CPA or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field, with an emphasis in Accounting, from an accredited college or university or five years of comparable experience.
  • Demonstrable skill in using accounting software, including journal entries, monthly close-outs and customized reporting.
  • Demonstrable skill in using MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to communicate fiscal concepts and instructions to non-fiscal stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment in working with a multicultural community.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior accounting and compliance experience with non-profit organizations and fund accounting.
  • Experience with Blackbaud’s Financial Edge or other fund accounting software.
  • Ability to comprehend and speak Korean (preferred).
