CuddleBright was designed to provide parents and caregivers with the knowledge and tools to strengthen the connection they share with their child, and the ability to navigate the ups and downs of the first three years—and beyond. Position Summary: The Simms/Mann Institute seeks a program manager to for its CuddleBright Experience initiative. The program manager will develop and maintain partnerships with organizations in the field of child development whose professional and qualified staff will use CuddleBright as a tool to strengthen parent-child programs.



  • Conduct outreach to potential partner organizations, including but not limited to hospitals, community clinics, and nonprofit child development organizations.
  • Communicate—and serve as the Institute’s principal point of contact—with partner organizations.
  • Ensure partner organizations understand CuddleBright and best practice in integrating CuddleBright into parent-child programming.
  • Review partnership proposals submitted for consideration, make site visits, as appropriate; prepare written summaries and analysis documents to support Institute’s advisory board in evaluating and decision making.
  • Design and implement program evaluation for CuddleBright partnership, including feedback surveys, questionnaires and other reporting documents, and ensure that all reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly updates and reports regarding progress and status of the CuddleBright partnership program.
  • Support the Institute’s communications and public relations activities related to the CuddleBright partnership program, including preparing press releases, website copy and related materials.
  • Support CuddleBright’s growth and expansion through new product development. (Additional books, related activities, and music, for example, are contemplated as potential ways to expand the brand.) 



  • Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree in a related field desirable (i.e. MSW, MPH).
  • Prior experience in foundation, nonprofit or mission-driven organization highly desirable. Experience in field of healthcare and/or child development beneficial.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; high-level of organization, attention to detail and follow through; personal integrity and responsibility, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals and institutions.
